Even though unemployment across the nation is over 10%
its especially devastating to a group of Americans who still
have faith in our president of which their unemployment
numbers have swelled to almost twice the national average.
Would you believe it! A Barack-Alike. Comes with his own limo, secret service everything. The only thing it seems he doesn't have is his own bailout stimulus package to afford to quit his day job!
Folks, If you have not noticed...few Presidents have ever worked this hard for our country, having to deal with such hatred and ill-will. Many wonder, does he ever sleep? Only God can sustain such energy, knowledge and person. Will you please join in this prayer? Let's keep this going!
Lord,
We pray for optimum health, mental clarity and political prosperity for President Barack H. Obama. We pray that what he lacks in political 'experience' you make up for with supernatural wisdom and power.
We also pray that when his enemies come upon him they will stumble and fall; and that your love will fill his heart to the end that 'Your will' be done through him.
We pray mightily for his protection. As we plead the Blood of your son, Jesus, over him and his family. We reverently ask you to dispatch legions of angels to protect them from all hurt, harm, danger as he serves as the President of the United States of America .
We thank you and praise you for answering our sincere prayers, in Jesus's precious name, AMEN.
All you are asked to do is keep this circulating if you are so inclined. May God bless and keep you..You might not have voted for him, You might not even like him personally....that's ok!...but I wouldn't want to issue him too much ill-willwith him being in a position he's in to have the kind of decisions he's gonna have to make that will affect us all.
CONGRATULATIONS MR PRESIDENT! NOBEL PRIZE RECIPIENT
TALENT AID PROMOTIONS: WE SALUTE YOU ...WE STAND WITH YOUOUR PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!GOD BLESS AMERICA!
REMARKS BY THE PRESIDENT ON WINNING THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE Rose Garden
11:16 A.M. EDT
THE PRESIDENT: Good morning. Well, this is not how I expected to wake up this morning.
After I received the news, Malia walked in and said, "Daddy, you won the Nobel Peace Prize, and it is Bo's birthday!"
And then Sasha added, "Plus, we have a three-day weekend coming up." So it's good to have kids to keep things in perspective
I am both surprised and deeply humbled by the decision of the Nobel Committee. Let me be clear:
I do not view it as a recognition of my own accomplishments, but rather as an affirmation of American leadership on behalf of aspirations
held by people in all nations.
To be honest, I do not feel that I deserve to be in the company of so many of the transformative figures who've been honored by this prize --
men and women who've inspired me and inspired the entire world through their courageous pursuit of peace.
But I also know that this prize reflects the kind of world that those men and women, and all Americans, want to build --
a world that gives life to the promise of our founding documents. And I know that throughout history,
the Nobel Peace Prize has not just been used to honor specific achievement;
it's also been used as a means to give momentum to a set of causes.
And that is why I will accept this award as a call to action --
a call for all nations to confront the common challenges of the 21st century.
These challenges can't be met by any one leader or any one nation.
And that's why my administration has worked to establish a new era of engagement
in which all nations must take responsibility for the world we seek. We cannot tolerate a world
in which nuclear weapons spread to more nations and in which the terror of a nuclear holocaust
endangers more people. And that's why we've begun to take concrete steps to pursue a world without
nuclear weapons, because all nations have the right to pursue peaceful nuclear power,
but all nations have the responsibility to demonstrate their peaceful intentions.
We cannot accept the growing threat posed by climate change, which could forever damage the world that we pass on to our children
-- sowing conflict and famine; destroying coastlines and emptying cities. And that's why all nations must now accept their share of
responsibility for transforming the way that we use energy.
We can't allow the differences between peoples to define the way that we see one another,
and that's why we must pursue a new beginning among people of different faiths and races and religions;
one based upon mutual interest and mutual respect.
And we must all do our part to resolve those conflicts that have caused so much pain and hardship over so many years,
and that effort must include an unwavering commitment that finally realizes that the rights of all Israelis
and Palestinians to live in peace and security in nations of their own.
We can't accept a world in which more people are denied opportunity and dignity that all people yearn for --
the ability to get an education and make a decent living; the security that you won't have to live in fear
of disease or violence without hope for the future.
And even as we strive to seek a world in which conflicts are resolved peacefully and prosperity is widely shared,
we have to confront the world as we know it today. I am the Commander-in-Chief of a country that's responsible
for ending a war and working in another theater to confront a ruthless adversary that directly threatens the American
people and our allies. I'm also aware that we are dealing with the impact of a global economic crisis that has left millions
of Americans looking for work. These are concerns that I confront every day on behalf of the American people.
Some of the work confronting us will not be completed during my presidency. Some, like the elimination of nuclear weapons,
may not be completed in my lifetime. But I know these challenges can be met so long as it's recognized that they will not be
met by one person or one nation alone. This award is not simply about the efforts of my administration --
it's about the courageous efforts of people around the world.
To Those of You Born
1930 - 1979
At the end of this is a quote of the month by Jay Leno. If you don't read anything else, please
read what he said. Very well stated, Mr. Leno.
TO ALL THE KIDS WHO SURVIVED THE
1930's, 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's!!
First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they were pregnant. They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can and didn't get tested for diabetes. Then after that trauma, we were put to sleep on our tummies in baby cribs covered with bright colored lead-base paints. We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, locks on doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had baseball caps not helmets on our heads. As infants & children, we would ride in cars with no car seats, no booster seats, no seat belts, no air bags, bald tires and sometimes no brakes Riding in the back of a pick- up truck on a warm day was always a special treat. We drank water from the garden hose and not from a bottle. We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and no one actually died from this. We ate cupcakes, white bread, real butter and bacon. We drank Kool-Aid made with real white sugar. And, we weren't overweight. WHY? Because we were always outside playing...that's why! We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on. No one was able to reach us all day. And, we were O.K.
We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then ride them down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem. We did not have Playstations, Nintendo's and X-boxes. There were no video games, no 150 channels on cable, no video movies or DVD's, no surround-sound or CD's, no cell phones, no person al computers, no Internet and no chat rooms
WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them!
We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no lawsuits from these accidents. We ate worms and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in us forever. We were given BB guns for our 10th birthdays, made up games with sticks and tennis balls and, although we were told it would happen, we did not put out very many eyes. We rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just walked in and talked to them. Little League had tryouts and not everyone made the team. Those who didn't had to learn to deal with disappointment.
Imagine that!! The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of. They actually sided with the law! These generations have produced some of the best risk-takers, problem solvers and inventors ever. The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas. We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned how to deal with it all. If YOU are one of them? CONGRATULATIONS! You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to grow up as kids, before the lawyers and the government regulated so much of our lives for our own good.. While you are at it, forward it to your kids so they will know how brave and lucky their parents were.
Kind of makes you want to run through the house with scissors, doesn't it ?
~The quote of the month is by Jay Leno: 'With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and with the threat of bird flu, SWINE FLU and terrorist attacks, are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?'
For those that prefer to think that God is not watching over us...go ahead and IGNORE this. For the rest of us...pass this on
This is a lesson we all need to remember. Be careful who you talk to
and never, ever turn your back on your personal possessions even when
doing someone else a favor.
A friend sent me this and I received such an uplifting comfort in viewing it I thought I would
share this with our site viewing audience.
There's a very strong message in this if you read and listen to what its telling you.
As bad as things may seem. The economy, job loss or even the loss of your home or a loved one
There's still a lot of beauty out here in the world if you just look for it and embrace it when you
find it. As you'll discover, its your shield of power to get you through the tough times in life.
On a personal note:
There are those; particularly amongst his
detractors that will say..."AHA"..you see! I
knew it! I told you so!"
...but those bearing these types of sentiments
will always be around...waiting in the shadows
of defeatism,negativism and discord..waiting
for the first faint sign of a trait that depicts
all men as human...a mistake!
...But the one vote I cast that helped place
him where he is today was not cast for
someone I thought could walk on water, raise
the dead, heal the sick or feed the hungary
with five fish and three loaves of bread .
It was cast for someone who I thought that if they
made a mistake... would own up to it and vow to fix
it and ..move on.
Its good to see that my vote has won a vote
of confidence this early on.
GOD BLESS YOU MR PRESIDENT!
A February 2009 "Black History Message" to our Young People:
…Let the celebration of Black History Month
February 2009 usher in a new vision of awakening in your life.
To cast aside those values and attributes that might have
kept you from achieving and performing your best
throughout your daily life.
For the only inroad to true freedom
lay within your own heart and mind .
Discover your own gifts; which is something positive and
constructive that you truly love to do. Work and build
what you love into something that can be of value and of
service to others. You will ultimately be provided with the
residual rewards of self-fulfilling accomplishment that will
last you for a lifetime.
History will always pass its judgment in itsrewards upon those who can build over those whoonly seek to destroy. On those who find a love in being called to serviceover those who only seek to...take!Upon those who seek to inspire over those who seekto discourage..Upon those who seek love and forgiveness...over thosewho seek continued jealousy and hate. It's all about choices and your the one to make them.Your the only one thats going to be held accountablefor the outcome. So choose wisely my brothers & sisters! There is no harsher judge you will encounter in lifethan you. ..and as long as your amongst the livingyour conscience is going to be around for awhile24/7.
